Turkish War of Independence (1894 Rumelia – 20 Mar 1966 Mesudiye)
Turkish War of Independence veteran on the Kütahya-Dumlupınar front. Son of Hüseyin.
Born in Rumelia in 1894, son of Hüseyin. İsmail Gezici migrated to Mesudiye with his family in 1907 as a 13-year-old.
During the Turkish War of Independence, he fought against Greek forces on the Kütahya-Dumlupınar front — one of the decisive fronts of the war that culminated in the Great Offensive of August 1922.
Returned to Mesudiye and lived out his life there until his death in March 1966.
